Description
How To Use
Apply the Redness Calming Mask 3 times a week for at least thirty minutes and rinse off with cool water. For best results leave on overnight and rinse off with cool water in the morning.
Overnight Treatment
(For redness-prone skin)
Step 1: Cleanse
Step 2: Serum
Step 3: Apply the mask overnight
Step 4: Rinse off in morning
30 Min. Treatment
(For other skin types)
Step 1: Cleanse
Step 2: Apply the mask for at least 30 mins
Step 3: Serum
Step 4: Moisturizer
Note: Due to the optimized ratio of ceramides, fatty acids, and cholesterol, the Redness Calming Mask will prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL) if used as an overnight treatment. As redness-prone skin naturally tends to lose more moisture, we recommend an overnight treatment for best results.
Key Ingredients
Centella Asiatica
AKA tiger grass, a clinically-proven plant extract helps reduce skin inflammation and boost antioxidant levels. In randomized studies, it has been shown that centella Asiatica can boost skin hydration levels and significantly reduce transepidermal water loss. Other studies have demonstrated its wound-healing and anti-inflammatory capabilities.
Glycyrrhetinic Acid
A compound isolated from licorice root, this antioxidant has been shown to help soothe the look of redness. In trials, Glycyrrhetinic Acid has shown significant reduction in irritation and inflammation in redness-prone sensitive skin.
Niacinamide
AKA Vitamin B3, a multitasking antioxidant working to prevent moisture loss, and smooth surface texture to brighten skin. Niacinamide has been shown in double-blind, randomized trials to be nearly as effective as prescription ingredients at reducing discoloration and age spots.
Beta-Thujaplicin (Beta-T)
An antioxidant found in the extract of the Pacific red cedar tree that has been shown in peer-reviewed dermatological literature to have an impressive rejuvenating effect on the skin. At this point, there are over 895 peer reviewed studies on Beta-t (Search Google Scholar for Hinokitol).
Squalane
Originally used to heal wounds, this plant-based antioxidant hydrator is easily absorbed by the skin and moisturizes without feeling overly oily.
Hydration Complex
Cholesterol, Ceramides, and Fatty Acids in the optimal ratio and concentration to prevent moisture loss. 3 different ceramides (Ceramide III, Ceramide IIIB, and Ceramide VI) work together to deeply replenish the skin’s moisture barrier.
